Culturally grounded stories, designed for community.
I create educational content rooted in Indigenous worldviews, cultural knowledge, and community-centered storytelling — through websites, books, documentaries, podcasts, and digital platforms.
Websites & Digital Platforms
I have extensive experience designing websites and digital platforms for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and community initiatives. Each project is developed to strengthen public engagement, improve access to resources, and support meaningful collaboration among stakeholders.
Each project was developed through a community-centered approach prioritizing accessibility, collaboration, and Indigenous perspectives. By integrating thoughtful design with stakeholder engagement, these websites support learning, strengthen community connections, and advance each organization’s mission.
Video for Social Media
I produce educational content for distribution across social media platforms in the form of short, engaging videos that get the message across quickly and hold viewers from the first frame. Each is written, edited, and captioned for vertical feeds: large burned-in subtitles, clear visuals, and a hook in the opening seconds.

First Choice: A People’s History
Documentary production
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement, at least three community groups in Albuquerque’s South Valley and South Broadway historic neighborhoods were pushing for healthcare services — the Black Berets, who started an all-volunteer clinic in 1968, followed by the South Valley Economic Opportunity Board and the South Valley Area Council, both part of President Johnson’s War on Poverty.
Community leaders came together with doctors and advocates at UNM Hospitals to start Albuquerque Family Health Centers in 1972, known as Centro Familiar de Salud until the 1980s, when the name changed to First Choice Community Healthcare. This is the story of how people have worked together over the past four decades to make First Choice what it is today.
In 2019, I was part of a group of archaeologists and Pueblo weavers from New Mexico and Arizona who travelled together to Oaxaca, Mexico. There, we were privileged to receive and share knowledge with amazing Indigenous textile artisans.
